Summary
Neon and Cardinal Tetras are closely related species. The only difference between the two is that the red bar on Cardinal Tetras continue all the way to it's tail, unlike the Neon Tetra, which it only goes to half it's flank. Both species are schooling fish and should be kept in schools of 6 or more fish. Keeping one alone is not recommended. Because they are so small, they often become the food to larger fish, such as Pictus Catfish and some cichlids.
